Catherine Owens, Director
Catherine Owens is a talented and ambitious director who graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts in filmmaking from the prestigious University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. Her thesis film Surf Detroit was shot entirely on film and finished on film. 35 mm film prints provided By Deluxe.
Catherine completed her first independent film, Louie The Moon in 2003, which received limited distribution in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and in her home state of North Carolina. She is known for her imaginative writing and her stunning cinematographic portrayals for action, comedy and drama. Actors love working with her and have said to have achieved some of their best performances with her at the helm. As a producer, she has lead several short films to completion and has several projects currently on her slate. Catherine plans to direct her next feature length film, Colors of Fall, later this year and has several scripts being read around Hollywood including The Mountain, The Prison Club and Surf Detroit (the feature).
